Hailing from Sikar, Rajasthan, Swati Meena Naik completed her schooling in Ajmer. She later completed her graduation from Sophia College for Girls, Ajmer. His mother is a self-employed entrepreneur and runs a petrol pump there, while her father works as an officer in the Rajasthan Administrative Service

While Swati's mother always wanted her daughter to become a doctor, Swati wanted to become an IAS officer under the influence of her aunt. Swati's father encouraged his daughter a lot during her exam preparation and her hard work paid off in her first attempt

Swati cleared UPSC CSE in 2007 in first attempt

Swati cleared the UPSC CSE exam in 2007 by securing 260th rank. She is currently posted as the Director of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation

She is known for her ethics and professionalism in work. Swati's sister also took up Swati's interest and in 2011 cleared the UPSC exam to become an IFS officer
